Elastic Search

Elastic Search is a powerful and quick way to index your journal entries, and to handle a large number of entries in a database. Journey Cloud Sync’s highly performant and rich search has support for features such as text matching, filtering, and auto-complete for multiple languages.

This smart search, powered by Elastic Search, allows users to search for phrases, sentiments, starred entries, or tags. The search feature will filter journal entries and return the exact or closest entries to the user; even if an incomplete or half-complete phrase is entered.

To note: Users will not be able to use Elastic Search if they choose to turn on end-to-end encryption, as this prevents Journey from indexing their journal entries.
