End-to-end Encryption
Journal with the promise of security & privacy
With asymmetric End-to-end encryption on Journey Cloud Sync, users’ personal journaling content will be encrypted on their device and protected before it is uploaded to Journey's servers. This encryption uses two different but related keys for encryption and decryption; a public key and a private key, and it relies on these keys to ensure data security and privacy.
To set up End-to-end encryption on Journey Cloud Sync,
- Add a Journey Cloud Sync Drive to your Journey account.
- When prompted to turn on end-to-end encryption, input a passphrase to secure your drive.
- Turn on end-to-end encryption and click “Done” at the bottom of the dialog box.
